Our Italian adventure began in Rome, the Eternal City. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the Europamundo team and transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day was ours to relax or begin exploring at our own pace. At the hotel, information boards provided all the necessary details about our tour schedule. It was the perfect soft landing into one of Europe’s most historic cities.

The day started with a panoramic sightseeing tour of Rome, blending both bus and walking segments. We visited some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the exterior of the Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, and the Imperial Forums. The route also took us past the Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. The tour concluded around 11:00 a.m. at the Vatican, where an optional guided visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was offered. In the evening, we were transferred to the Trastevere district—Rome’s bohemian heart—where we enjoyed a lively atmosphere and local cuisine before returning to the hotel around 8:30 p.m.

This day was left free for personal discovery. Rome has an endless charm—from ancient ruins to cozy cafés, bustling markets to elegant piazzas. Many in the group chose to revisit their favorite spots or venture to hidden gems. It was an opportunity to dive deeper into Roman culture, cuisine, and history at one’s own pace.

We departed Rome and traveled to Florence, the heart of Tuscany and the cradle of the Renaissance. Our first stop was at the Michelangelo viewpoint, which offered panoramic views over the terracotta rooftops and Renaissance skyline. A guided walking tour followed, introducing us to Florence’s historical and cultural riches, including the Gothic cathedral (Duomo di Firenze), the medieval town square of Piazza della Signoria, and the picturesque Ponte Vecchio, known for its artisan gold shops.

In the morning, we made our way to Pisa. A charming tourist train transported us to the Piazza dei Miracoli, where we viewed the world-famous Leaning Tower. From there, we journeyed to the Ligurian Riviera to explore the enchanting Cinque Terre—five coastal villages carved into cliffs and accessible primarily by train. Depending on the season and crowd levels, we visited one of Vernazza, Manarola, or Corniglia. After lunch and free time in the village, we boarded another train to Levanto, where our coach took us to Genoa. The evening was free to discover Genoa's historic center and maritime charm.

Our morning began in Santa Margherita Ligure, where we boarded a boat to reach Portofino, one of Europe’s most glamorous seaside towns. With its colorful harbor and luxury boutiques, Portofino offered the perfect blend of elegance and coastal relaxation. After lunch, we continued our journey to Milan. The remainder of the day was free to explore the stylish streets, with highlights including the majestic Milan Cathedral (Duomo) and the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping arcade.

Our unforgettable journey through Italy came to an end. With our hearts full of memories—from ancient Roman ruins to Renaissance masterpieces, from seaside towns to stylish Milan—we bid farewell to this beautiful country. Arrivederci, Italia!
