Begin with a brief stop at Zojoji Temple for a stunning photo of Tokyo Tower and admire the hundreds of Jizos, traditional stone deities adorned with hats, robes, and windmills. Visit the world-famous Shibuya Crossing, and the Meiji Temple, dedicated to Emperor Meiji and his wife. Continue along Omotesando, passing the Imperial Palace and the iconic Nijubashi Bridge. Explore Akihabara, the "Electric Town" known for Manga and Anime culture, and view the Kokugikan Sumo Stadium. Discover the historic Sensoji Temple with its impressive pagoda, and enjoy some free time on Nakamise Street in Asakusa. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. Continue along the scenic Pacific coast to Enoshima, a charming island accessible by bridge, where you'll have free time for lunch and exploration. Proceed to Odawara, where you'll have admission to the impressive Odawara Castle, a restored medieval fortress from the Edo era. Overnight accommodation in Odawara.
Today’s journey takes you to the stunning Hakone region, known for its lakes and proximity to Mount Fuji. Begin by ascending to Owakudani, the "Hell Valley," famous for its geothermal activity (Note: Access may be restricted due to volcanic activity or gas emissions; in such cases, we will visit Arakurayama Sengen Park instead). Next, explore Oshino Hakkai, a picturesque village with eight clear ponds and views of Mount Fuji. Continue to Kawaguchiko, a charming town by the lake, where you’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride. Climb partway up Mount Fuji to the “fifth station,” reaching an altitude of 2,305 meters, with breathtaking forest and mountain views. (Note: In winter, the ascent may be closed due to snow; if so, we will proceed as far as conditions permit.) Return to Kawaguchiko for an evening at a traditional Ryokan, where you can relax in the Onsen (public baths). Dinner is included.
