Begin your morning with a captivating three-hour guided exploration of Rome, blending a walking tour through Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus journey. Highlights include the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. The tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where your guide will offer an optional visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Today’s journey takes us across the scenic Apennines to Venice. Upon arrival, a boat will carry us across the Giudecca Canal to the heart of the city St. Mark’s Square. With a local guide, discover the rich history and architecture of Venice before visiting a Murano glass workshop to witness the art of glassmaking. Enjoy some free time to explore the charming canals and hidden squares before we head to our hotel in the Mestre district.
We leave Italy and make our way into Austria, arriving in Innsbruck where you’ll have time to explore the medieval old town and enjoy lunch. Our route then winds through the breathtaking Tyrolean Alps before crossing into Switzerland and arriving in Zurich for the night.
Experience the postcard-perfect scenery of Switzerland as we head into the Interlaken region. Our first stop is Grindelwald, where we take a cable car up the mountain for a scenic walk to a suspended bridge, offering incredible glacier views. Lunch is included on the mountain before descending to the valley. In the afternoon, visit Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most beautiful cities, with time to stroll along its lakeside promenades and historic streets before returning to Zurich.
